Track membrane

Intended use

A track membrane is a 12 μm thick polyethylene terephthalate (PET) film in which a system of through pores has been created. Proposed areas of application: filtration technologies, microscopy, laboratories, etc.

Main characteristics

• Pore diameter from 0.06 to 5.0 μm;
• Varying discreteness by diameter;
• Pore shape: cylinder, hourglass;
• Pore orientation relative to the film surface: perpendicular or at an angle of 30 degrees;
• Pore distribution over the membrane surface — uniform.

Properties of track membranes

• Specified pore sizes and density per unit area;
• Bio-compatibility with blood;
• Smooth film surface and smooth pore edges.
